Coming Soon! New Arbitration System

Over the next few weeks, FMCS will be rolling out a completely new and redesigned system for our arbitration program–it will simplify the process, while creating greater flexibility and control for parties requesting arbitration and for arbitrators. Stay tuned to this space for more information and for the opportunity to test and learn the system before it goes live.

Notice:

The cost for an online panel request with email delivery of the panel to both parties is $30 (if mail or fax delivery to one or both parties is requested, the cost is $50). It is the preferred method, being easier, quicker, more reliable, and less expensive than submission of the PDF form. However, if you have special requests that are not available on this online form, or are unable to access it, please click on PDF FORM. If one or more of the parties uses the pdf form rather than the online form below, the charge is $50 regardless of the method of panel delivery. We ask that you submit the PDF form by email to arbitration@fmcs.gov. As a last resort, you can fax to (202) 606-3749 or mail to FMCS Arbitration Services, 250 E. St SW, 7th Floor, Washington, DC 20427. Please note that we discourage faxes and will be eliminating fax submissions in the future. Please do not hesitate to call (202) 606-5111 if you need assistance.

You will not be able to submit your payment without 128-bit encryption.

You may pay by credit card (VISA, MasterCard, American Express, or Discover) or check. We will need your ABA routing number and checking account number to process an electronic debit. If you use a check to make your payment, your check will be converted into an electronic fund transfer. "Electronic fund transfer" is the term used to refer to the process in which we electronically instruct your financial institution to transfer funds from your account to our account. PLEASE MAKE SURE WE CAN ELECTRONICALLY WITHDRAW FUNDS BEFORE ENTERING CHECK INFORMATION ON THE INTERNET.

CAUTION!

Please pay close attention to the information entered.   Be sure that the names of the representatives, and their unions or companies are spelled properly.   Addresses should be complete, including room or suite numbers, if appropriate.
ALSO, PLEASE MAKE SURE THE APPROPRIATE AREA FROM WHICH TO SELECT AN ARBITRATOR IS CORRECT. FMCS WILL AMEND PANELS ONLY AS A RESULT OF FMCS SYSTEM ERRORS.
